18 Oct, Kathmandu: The commissioners of the Election Commission (EC) and members of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) have held discussions on Monday in regard to the upcoming elections to the federal and provincial assembly to be conducted on November 20.
The meeting was conducted at the central office of the EC in Kantipath.
During the meeting, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya and other commissioners were present.
Likewise, a delegation of Meta, the mother company of Facebook, met with Chief Election Commissioner Thapaliya regarding the control of fake news, misinformation and hate speech that could spread through social networking site Facebook.
